General Payment Information for First Energy Users

Residential and commercial customers in the First Energy service area can purchase deregulated electricity plans from one of the several electric system distributors in those regions. Their selected energy company will then work with First Energy Solutions to maintain service reliability and prevent interruptions in the delivery.

The current Price to Compare (default supply price) for the First Energy electricity supply is currently $0.695 per kWh for residential customers. Commercial/business customers have a rate according to their utility consumption and usage. In case you choose one of the competitive electricity utility companies in the area, you may receive special pricing and incentives, as well as reliable delivery and high safety standards. However, there is no guarantee that you will save money on the total bill for both utilities.

How to Pay Your Bill

There are four ways you can pay your First Energy bill.

  1. Online: Once you have created an energy supply account with the company, you can pay through an online payment account or as a guest (via an email address and zip code). If you have AutoPay set up, the payment will be deducted from your account automatically. You can also pay via credit/debit card or eCheck.
  2. Pay by Phone: You can call your First Energy electricity supplier of choice to pay via phone. See the list of suppliers here.
  3. In-Person: You can pay in-person at authorized payment locations for the respective suppliers.
