As of July 2026, PSE&G's supply rate is 18.78¢/kWh. Our forecast has it climbing to 25.51¢/kWh over the next year — the largest increase of the 23 utilities we track.

PSE&G is New Jersey's largest utility, and it's the steepest climber we forecast. Worth knowing, though: your rate held roughly flat this year. New Jersey resets its supply price in one auction each June, and this year's stayed level because regulators had capped how high the regional market could push it. That cap was always meant to be temporary, which is a big part of why our forecast points up from here.
The state buys into a regional market shared with a dozen others, where the grid operator's forecast puts data centers as the biggest driver of growth, concentrated heavily in Virginia rather than here. New Jersey pays into that same market, so once the cap lifts, our forecast has PSE&G's rate following it up — even as your recent bill held.
