As of August 2026, Duquesne Light's supply rate is 14.14¢/kWh. Our forecast has it climbing to 16.74¢/kWh over the next year.
Duquesne Light delivers electricity to the Pittsburgh area and sends your bill, but the supply price on it, called the price to compare, is bought through competitive solicitations rather than set by the utility. Duquesne passes it through at cost.
Pennsylvania refreshes this price every few months, so it tracks the PJM regional market fairly closely. In that market, the cost of keeping enough generation available has been rising as demand grows and older plants close, and each reset carries the latest version of that cost onto your bill.
